Of course you can also reach us by phone or email. Together with other guests, you will go on a journey of discovery with us and explore our beautiful city.

Our city tours are open to anyone who would like to take part.

If you are not a good walker or rely on a walking aid or wheelchair, please let us know in advance so that we can discuss the route with you and explain alternatives for you (e.g. a different meeting point or using an elevator).

Walking frames and wheelchairs should be able to be used for short distances over cobblestones. However, some of the locations are not barrier-free.

Our city tours take place whatever the weather. Of course, we won’t leave you out in the rain on the way, but will change the route if possible so that the group can also take shelter.

You should be dressed according to the weather. It’s best to make yourself aware of the typical weather conditions of the seasons before purchasing your tickets.

If you want your city guide to be there just for you, it is always worth booking one of our city tours as a private tour.
We recommend not starting out with more than 20 people, even for private groups, but rather dividing the large group. It is also possible to adapt the start time and location to your wishes.

Ultimately, you decide how large your group can be and whether you want to travel with (maximum) 25 participants and a guide.

We recommend clothing that is comfortable for you and allows you to move easily. But you don’t need any special equipment. However, weatherproof clothing is never a bad idea, as the weather in Hamburg can sometimes be very moody and can also be a bit windy along the Elbe.

Adventure World Tours accepts all major credit cards and instant bank transfers when booking directly via our website. In addition, it is possible to pay on request by email or telephone on account or in cash on site. We guarantee the highest standards in terms of payment security and control.

No! All prices stated on the site include VAT (from July 1st, 2020 to December 31st, 2020 16%, otherwise 19%), which we show on the invoices. Companies can therefore get the VAT back from the tax office.

Yes, there are different discounts for school groups and children depending on the tour. Please ask directly by email to: info@adventure-world-tours.com.

There are no discounts for students, trainees or pensioners. Persons accompanying a wheelchair user cannot come along for free, but must pay the full price.

Sometimes it is possible to change or add to bookings. This definitely depends on the type of change you want. Please always choose the date of your activity with great care. If you would like to change something, please contact info@adventure-world-tours.com with your request. In principle, you can follow our general terms and conditions.

By phone or email. Please note: free rebookings or cancellations are only possible up to 24 hours before the start of the tour. After this period, processing fees or the entire booking amount will be due. If you have not booked directly through us but through a partner, please contact the relevant customer service. You can find further information on your booking confirmation.

You will usually receive your booking confirmation by email. Showing it on your mobile device is sufficient; you don’t have to print out the ticket. You will receive additional services such as vouchers for the Miniature Wonderland or harbor tours as a PDF file in a separate email.

Important: If you have booked with one of our partners, we always need the ticket from the relevant partner.

On a culinary tour, various pubs, restaurants and shops are visited. We cannot guarantee seating in the culinary locations and in most cases we serve the food as a to-go option. The restaurants vary depending on the day of the week and time, so we cannot name any fixed locations here and it will remain a culinary surprise for you!

We serve you delicious and unique food in restaurants specially selected for the tour.

We recommend taking a small bottle of water with you, but not using it in the venues. On all tours you have several options to purchase drinks from different shops.

If you would like to purchase additional exclusive drinks during the tour, you have to pay for them yourself.

No! In addition to tasting delicious food, you will learn a lot about life in the neighborhood and the district. The tour is richly commented by experienced and local city guides. You get the information about the architecture, the history, the entertainment options and of course about the shops and restaurants visited.

We also offer a vegetarian option on most of our food tours.

We do our best to get a seat for our guests. However, we cannot guarantee this.

We cannot guarantee that you will be full. In our experience, the samples are completely sufficient for one guest and the other guest has just had a warm meal after our tour. So you will have the opportunity to taste some delicacies from the respective district. If you’re still hungry afterward, you know where to go back.

We ask that you arrive at the specified meeting point 15 minutes before the start of the tour. Please, look for a person with a red shoulder bag that says “Adventure World Tours.”

If there are any short-term, unforeseen changes, we would like to inform you immediately and for this we need your mobile phone number.

You can recognize our guides by their red shoulder bag with “Adventure World Tours” printed in white.

If you purchased the ticket via our website, you do not need to print out your ticket. All you have to do is show the guide a confirmation email on your smartphone. If you got your ticket from a partner, our guide can take a photo of it if you don’t have a printed ticket with you.

You can leave the tour at any time. We would ask you to let the guide know before you do this.

Of course we don’t have any for you, but we can show you public toilets.

Yes! The cities are exciting and beautiful. Please don’t forget your camera. Please respect the privacy of the employees and other participants.

The entire tour route is completed on foot. Many children have limited attention spans and become tired quickly from constant walking and standing. You know your child best – so we ask you to judge for yourself whether your child is suitable for taking part in our tour!”

In any case! Locals take the tour to learn more about the neighborhood and their city. The tour often stays away from tourist spots and is mainly off the beaten path.

The participation of a minor with the parent’s permission is only possible with restrictions. Our Sex and Crime Tour and our St. Pauli Highlights Tour include a stay in the smoking bar “Zur Ritze”. Minors are not allowed to enter a smoking bar.

Public tour: No, as this tour is booked with other guests. If no other guests are booked for a public tour, the guide can wait at the meeting point for a maximum of 15 minutes.

Private tour: Start times can be adjusted by arrangement, the guide can wait up to 30 minutes if guests are late, but this time depends on the tour time.

If there is still space in the group, yes, but the full booking amount is still due.

Without registering your participation in advance, the groups may already be full and you will no longer be able to join them.

For spontaneous guests, we recommend registering in advance by phone at short notice.

No, we are not authorized to reveal the contact details of our guides. An exception can be made in individual cases upon special request, provided the guide agrees.

We are working on continually increasing and improving our product variety. At the moment we do not offer audio guides for other languages.

We currently do not offer bike tours.

Some of our tours are barrier-free. Further information can be found in the description of each tour. Please indicate when booking if you would like to take part in the tour with a wheelchair or walking frame.

You can also take an interpreter with you. This person must also purchase a ticket for the tour.

We don’t go to the Elphi concert halls. You can find further information in the additional information for the respective tour.

Most of our tours are on foot. The exceptions are shown in the description of the respective tour.

You do not need an exclusive public transport ticket if you want to take part in our tour. We do not offer transfers to or from the tours. Please see the “Not Included” section of each tour for more information.

No, in principle no drinks flat rates can be booked.

Drinks can be pre-ordered for private tours, for which an additional charge applies. Please inform us of these special requests directly when making your booking request.

You can pre-order certain drinks on our party buses or bring your own for a one-off corkage fee of €30.00 (a cooler can be provided and placed on the bus for this purpose).”

In most cases there are also non-alcoholic drinks on our tours. The individual options will be presented to you by the guide during the tour.

Basically, it’s not a problem if you take a stroller with you on the tour. Please note: Some tours have a lot of stairs and narrow streets or visit very small restaurants where it is not possible to enter with a stroller.

Animals are not allowed out of consideration for the culinary partners and the other tour participants as well as the organizational process.
