Tour description
A special kind of discovery tour in Berlin’s unique Kreuzberg district. During this three-hour city tour, you will experience the ultimate trendy district with all your senses. In an informal atmosphere, our qualified guides will take you to historical places where you will learn exciting anecdotes about the eventful past and present and feel the unique atmosphere of Kreuzberg. Kreuzberg is a living multi-cultural, nightlife district, left-wing protest stronghold and genuine Berlin lifestyle. Young, criminal and cozy. And because so many impressions will soon make your stomach growl, there is also culinary input: we sample local and international specialties in five authentic restaurants in the district.

Five tastings in different restaurants
Special districts need extraordinary city tours. On this culinary tour, you will experience the multi-cultural hotspot of Kreuzberg in a completely different way.
Our tour guides will provide you with exciting anecdotes and historical facts about one of the capital’s most diverse districts at every turn.
Even the meeting point at Kotti has it all. The crowds throng here from dawn to dusk. And we throw ourselves into the thick of the action. Over the next three hours, we will marvel, walk, laugh – and of course eat.
Your tour guide knows their way around and is always open to your questions. He or she will lead you through the most famous streets and to the most interesting places. Their exciting stories range from today to the beginnings of Kreuzberg in the middle of the 19th century.
With such an eventful history, conflicts and regular escalations are almost inevitable. The people here have never been afraid to take to the streets to defend their views – even with violence if necessary. This is why Kreuzberg still enjoys the shady reputation of a protest stronghold today.
Among other things, we visit the legendary apartment blocks with their backyards, where at times up to 2,000 people lived. Today, the buildings have mostly been renovated and are very popular with people of all backgrounds, religions, income levels and sexualities. Young students and creatives, immigrants and die-hard Berlin originals form a diverse mix.
What else you will experience:
Genuine Ostalgie with the legendary Ampelmännchen
A dramatic escape attempt – and what Martin Luther King has to do with it
Scandalous building projects
Berlin’s per capita consumption of curry sausages
The legendary “Kreuzberg mix”
The first plastic surgeon
The butcher of the Schlesisches Tor
A mafia-like wrestling association
The (new) borderOn every street corner and behind every building façade there are some hair-raising stories. We have selected the most exciting ones and give you a real look behind the scenes with this best-of.
In between, we regularly fortify ourselves with authentic international and original Kreuzberg specialties. We present a selection of the diverse local gastronomic scene. You’ll see: Especially in Kreuzberg, the way to the heart is through the stomach!
In the end, you have the choice of whether you want to let the new impressions sink in at the last restaurant – or whether you want to head out again into the colorful world of the capital. As we all know, Kreuzberg never sleeps…
